Nomads of Time

A nine-book epic fantasy saga spanning many ages and many universes.

Nomads of Time is a trilogy of trilogies.

While the entire series has a common throughline, each trilogy is set during a specific age. Though every new book builds upon the previous one to create a larger storyline, each book can also be enjoyed as a standalone story.

There were worlds before this world; there was time before this time…

The Age of Magic

The first trilogy takes you on a journey with magical races living 65 million years ago in a time of massive geological upheavals on an alternate Earth. The choices they make carry over into the present day world, affecting war, peace, and the very survival of our solar system.

The Age of Exploration

The second trilogy plays out in the early 20th century, just after WW-I has ended. It is an age of recovery, an age of discovery, and a vast age of exploration. When an ancient relic from prehistoric time falls into wrong hands, it threatens to start a war worse than the Great War —  not between the nations of the Earth, but between the many versions of Earth itself, of which the winner alone can survive. Only a small band of mysterious islanders can keep the planet safe. But will they?

The Age of Extinction

The final trilogy takes place in the present time. The specters of prehistoric past have been laid to rest — or so the world believes. After a succession of devastating wars, civilizations have settled into a period of uneasy calm. In this time of deceptive peace, subterranean forces writhe, threatening to unleash the last age — the age of extinction. From the freezing wilderness of the Canadian tundra, across the tumultuous lands of Central Asia, right to the soaring Himalayan peaks, an unseen power searches for a lost gateway through time — to finish what it began 65 million years in the past.

Heir to the Shadowed Sun (Book-1, Nomads of Time)

65 million years ago. Remnants of East Gondwanaland.

In a time of supervolcanoes and crumbling continents, three magical races vie for supremacy while struggling for survival.

Masterful Luminaries, masters of a subterranean realm that is brighter than the surface of land and safe from geological upheavals. They are shielded by the power of a legendary orb called the Heart of Light.

Elusive Merpeople, who would kill to keep the secrets of the ocean to themselves. Years ago, they had set off a chain of supervolcanoes to find the arcane power of the Earth’s core. Now bound by honor and guilt, they are set to stabilize the world by fusing every powerful form of magic in the universe — whether it belongs to them or not — into a single strand of supermagic.

Enigmatic Terrestrials, who have neither the innate magic of Merpeople, nor the acquired technological skills of the mighty Luminaries. And yet they manage to walk the narrow path between the two powerful races, using abilities that none other can match.

The paths of all three races cross when the Merpeople convince a Luminary to flee his subterranean home, carrying with him the Heart of Light.
